These are stunning Conus shell beads of nomadic women of the Sahara desert. Rare and difficult to find, they may seem pricey but they are worth it! We have two strands, one with 140 beads, the other with approx. 130 beads. They are distinguishable by the largest beads in the center of the strands -- one has smooth rounded beads at the center; the other has rougher, thinner disk-type beads at the center. You can see the difference in the photos. Bead sizes are graduated, ranging from approx. 7 mm. at the smallest to approx. 35 mm. at the largest.
