Bead of the Week

tiny pinkThis is another of our FAVORITE items in the shop -- a gorgeous strand of delicate pink, natural untreated Peruvian Opal beads. They are faceted for a delightful sparkle! Each is approx. 6 mm.
and there are 90 beads on a 17" (approx.) strand.

Break them up and use a touch of gold for earrings, or string them together for a stunning necklace!

gold necklaceLast week our post was on bold jewelry, so this week I thought we should give equal time to delicate, ‘barely there’ jewelry -- like necklaces to wear all alone for a minimal look, or all together for a stacked effect. It’s an equally legitimate (and delightful) approach – simplifying your jewelry game with stylish, elegant and subtle work. Besides suiting a a more dainty style, another advantage is that it’s very light on the neck, for those who don’t like to (or can’t) wear heavy jewelry.

Here are a couple of links to tutorials/ideas for delicate/simple pieces.
