Step 1: Choose your fashion pin
When it comes to finding the right pin for your necklace, the options are endless. You can choose a pin that represents your favorite fashion designer, or you can simply choose a pin that goes with the outfit you’ll be wearing. There are no wrong choices when it comes to fashion pins!
Once you’ve chosen your fashion pin, it’s time to start melding it to your necklace. The first step is to determine where you want the pin to be placed on the necklace. It’s important to choose a spot that will allow the pin to lay flat against the necklace, as this will help keep it from moving around too much.
Once you’ve determined the placement of your pin, use a hot glue gun to attach the pin to the necklace. Hold thepin in place for a few seconds to ensure that it is securely attached. If necessary, you can use pliers to help hold the pin in place while the glue dries.
Allow the glue to dry completely before wearing your fashionable new necklace!
Step 2: Remove the pin back
Using a small screwdriver, unscrew the back of the pin. If the back is stuck, heat it up with a lighter for a few seconds and then try to unscrew it again. Be careful not to overheat the metal or you could damage the pin.
Step 3: Cut a length of wire
Now that you have all of your materials, it’s time to get started on creating your own fashion accessory. The first step is to cut a length of wire that will be used to attach the pin to the necklace. You will want to make sure that the wire is long enough to go around the back of the pin and through the bail, but not so long that it will be visible from the front. Once you have cut your wire, use pliers to create a small loop at one end.
Step 4: String the beads
String the beads in the order that you want them to appear on the necklace. Make sure that the seed beads are evenly spaced between the larger beads. You may want to use a needle or threading tool to help with this step. Once all of the beads are strung, tie a knot at the end of the thread to secure them in place.
Step 5: Attach the fashion pin
Now that you have your necklace and fashion pin, it’s time to attach the pin to the necklace. This is a pretty simple process, but there are a few things you need to keep in mind.
First, make sure that the fashion pin is securely fastened to the necklace. You don’t want it to fall off or come loose while you’re wearing it.
Next, take a close look at the design of the fashion pin. You want to make sure that it complements the design of the necklace and doesn’t clash with it.
Finally, once you’ve attached the fashion pin to the necklace, take a step back and make sure that you’re happy with how it looks. If you’re not, don’t be afraid to try again until you get it right!
Step 6: Close the necklace
Now that you have added all of your fashion pins, it is time to close the necklace. If you are using a lobster clasp, open the clasp and attach it to the loop on the other side. If your necklace has a toggle closure, thread the end through the loop and pull until tight. You may need to use pliers to help with this step. And that’s it! You now have a one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry that is sure to get compliments.
Step 7: Wear & enjoy your new necklace!
You’ve now successfully taken an existing fashion pin and melded it to a necklace. By doing this, you’ve upcycled an old piece of jewelry and given it new life. Not to mention, you now have a one-of-a-kind piece that is sure to get compliments. So, go ahead and wear your new necklace with pride!
